Classique au Vert is a series of free classical music concerts held in the pretty surroundings of the Parc Floral, a Parisian botanical garden located just a stone’s throw from the Château de Vincennes. The Parc Floral de Vincennes, east of Paris, is 35 glorious hectares of greenery and flowers, with many rare species. You can stroll the verdant aisles, admiring the colours and savouring the perfume-laden air, then enjoy a family picnic. An eclectic programme for a classical music festival in Paris
The concert programme offered by Classique au Vert is very varied and diverse. You can enjoy performances by instrumentalists such as the Van Kuijk string quartet, consisting of two violins, a viola and a cello. Jazz and percussion variations of some well-loved classical pieces are also on the schedule. Vocalists will be well represented, with performances by the mezzosopranos Karine Deshayes and Delphine Haidan, and an interpretation of arias from Offenbach by the French-Canadian soprano Hélène Guilmette. In addition, there will be an evening dedicated to the brilliant Brazilian songwriter and composer Antonio Carlos Jobim. It all adds up to a thrillingly eclectic approach to a classical music festival.
